Biden Administration Funds 44 Electric Vehicle Chargers in Columbia
Columbia, Missouri, has received $3.6 million from the federal government
for 44 electric vehicle chargers. The chargers will be placed in two parking
garages at the Columbia Public Library and Columbia Regional Airport.
Columbia's is one of 47 projects in 22 states and Puerto Rico to receive
funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed under President Joe
Biden. Sales of electric vehicles have more than quadrupled since Biden took
office in 2021. The grants are part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and
will go towards project planning, communications, and informing the public. It
is good news that funds are being given to Columbia.
